I'm no fan of the The Sun, but their front page and editorial is spot on today.

I'd rather not live in a society where someone can, unprovoked, kick the living sh*t out of somebody else and not go to jail.

Almost Clockwork Orange esque.

Any member of the public can appeal the sentence and have it looked at again the the Attorney General.

I think his celebrations maybe premature...... But a disgraceful sentence and indicative of our judges

There is one simple way how to solve all this bolloxs, take sentencing away from judges and give it to juries.

Good idea GW given that it's the juries who trawl through all the evidence and plus it would be a decision based on 12 people so some might say 7 years and some 3 years, you would end up with at least a decent sentence.
