Music Related Domain - lots of views little revenue

I picked up a domain for a former music news site - mainly relating to punk and metal. It is parked on Sedo, getting loads of views (about 200 per day) but hardly any clicks.

I have lots of other music related domains but this one seems peculiarly difficult. What do others do with domains with lots of views but difficult to get click revenue?

Thanks
Stephen.

Stephen, You need to change the keyword on the Sedo parking page to something relevant to the hits you are getting. Go to into the parking optimization page and change it.

You cannot tell from Sedo what people are searching the domain for so it pays sometimes to park it on some hosting with web stats for a few days. This way you will not only see where the traffic is coming from but also the keywords or phrases they are using if coming via a search engine.

Thanks - I have changed the keywords several times. I suspect the links to the site are for very specific items that people are looking for, i.e. particular CD reviews etc. which makes it a bit tricky. Might just set the keyword to "music" which generally brings up ads for downloads.

Stephen.

Well the hosting as we mentioned is the only way you can analyse the traffic for sure. We could sort you out the hosting and webstats for a few days if you cant do this yourself.

If you type the domain into Google, how many pages from the old site are in the results? and what do they relate to?
