Park or develop?

With the drop off in PPC revenue I am looking to self develop a few more names into web sites.

I have started with MyModels.co.uk - any feedback on the web design?

Looks good currently - I take it from the pink color - that your only interested in "interviewing" girls for this project!

Would interested to know how you go about making money from this site.

Q1: Are you approaching all the model agencies listed to see if they would pay to advertise? - and if so what rates are you asking?

I have a site that I basically run on behalf of someone else and was wandering what the going banner rate is - the industry is work boats and so money is thin - any ideas?

We will get the site established before running any ads

We may contact agencies but doubt they would pay for advertsing on a new formed site, we need to get some good daily hits first.

I'm going to have to start doing this as well.

I'm buying domains, at scrap level admittedly, and if i dont sell anything i'm going to be in trouble!

I have looked a affliate schemes but not sure which domain to start with. Something i'm interested in would be a good start.

Its just finding time - good luck with mymodels - following with interest

Just want to dig this one up again and see if there are any other opinions about this. I know we have already spoken about whether to develop or not and development would have some advantages over forking out for premium drops so...

I'd be really keen to develop some of my domains and branch out into some proper revenue and website building.

lets start with adwords is this the best entry level or would it be best to develop a site and include doubleclick or what ever is the best for ppc.

you have to bear in mind that anything i develop will be starting from the ground up with very little type in traffic etc

advertising will provide a steady trickle, but ecommerce will provide a higher turnover with higher risk. Depends on the names. I targetted some dropping names for ecom sites, and now have a development schedule that will take most of this year! getting the priorities right is important... idea, domain, development, testing, beta, live...
