![]() | iMODO - Good for you?
I have to admit I am underwhelmed by iMODO: Domains on iMODO December 48,279 views £1.80 earnedOk, I know it is not that clean cut but the number of views at iMODO is an order of magnitude greater than namedrive and the revenue is poor. What have your experiences been? detail or just good/bad/fair... eetc p.s. I appreciate we are talking small figures here but it all helps pay those renewals while we wait for sales...

I'm only talking small figures as well but seen the same sort of results. So much so that have moved all my domains away from Imodo. However I haven't given up totally as I think the concept is great and has lots of potential, but at the end of the day it is earnings that count. Can't really see why earnings were so much lower so hoping it is an imodo bug that can be fixed. I plan on leaving it alone for a month or two and try again then. |

Hey fellas.. And thanks for the IM mystery thread notifier.. We have an issue with reporting unique visitors, which im sorry for. This will be fixed shortly. Were still learning at iMODO and weve found people have been mostly successful finding the right lander for their domains by trial and error. And whilst we believe in this "built" concept for undeveloped domains, still our best performing lander is our "london" straight parking template which we have thus far restricted access to.. If you'd like to try this, please PM or email me ian at 1plus.net and i'll gladly give you access to our beta templates. If you want us to do any optimizing for you, please also do likewise There is a massive upgrade on schedule for early Feb...

i just looked at imodo, there's too much to read, why click an ad? and they're external links to news, their team would be better off writing news and articles, keeping users on the site then clicking ads. the model will fail otherwise, thats just from looking for ten minutes, maybe i'm missing something.

Thats just one choice Lee See www.londonzilla.co.uk ; or http://mobilephonz.co.uk/ and spin through the navigational bar at the top. These are all lander options.. Like i say, what works for one domain may not work for another.. with regards indexing, http://tinyurl.com/2593xg And like i say, weve been learning a lot over the past 6 months and the feb upgrade should iron out all minor issues weve had and also add a bunch of new templates, amendments, feeds etc ... Its not perfect right now, a little rough around the edges but were trying our best..

Hi I have put a lot of names across at Imodo - quite a few are ex-whypark names that were previously on Adsense. I have also put a few traffic names with these guys as well. I think for domains with natural type-in or backlink traffic a traditional parking page is probably best - Imodo's London template fits that bill. What you are then really doing is comparing rev. Yahoo versus a Google feed (from the likes of Sedo or ND). Where a domain has limited or no natural type-in traffic then using the 'news' or 'break room' templates gets your name indexed through the syndicated articles. But it takes time - to be fair to Imodo can it can take a couple of months. Also domains relying on search engine traffic I have always found get a low CTR. I think the stats have confused everyone - me included - from a rev perspective I am seeing rev on names that had no traffic on traditional parking & some names with type-in traffic that are doing OK a couple of others it is marginal or not quite as good as at ND. If you compare simpy views, RPMs and clicks then I think you may be missing something. Best Regards JohnP |

The shopping page has products in $'s and as most of us on here only deal in co.uk's so there isn't much chance of a click when a UK visitor sees a $ sign. Should/Will products be UK feeds sometime soon? Dave |

2 new shopping templates will arrive as part of the Feb upgrade. All in contextual currencies and with everything on the page a "paid" link.
