Google performance

FT.com / Companies / Technology - Google to rewrite stock option terms

So why has ppc revenue dropped so significantly for domain owners?

On the face of it, it seems to me Google have charged advertisers exactly the same as they would normally (in the good times) for typical terms. Then to keep their profits up / shareholders happy they've just been decreasing the cut to the publishers and aggregators signifigantly, then the latter do the same to make up for their smaller cut from Google and there you go, 40 to 50% decrease in ppc revenue. I mean why wouldn't they, they've got the perfect smoke screen, eg. recession, weak currencies etc. Meanwhile the advertiser is paying the same as they always did and the domain owner gets reamed.

Mine has stayed the same or increased, however my ppc on somewhere like sedo is non existent, maybe Google have now started to seperate the 2 channels

So channel one would be for developed domains and channel two for parked domains?

I dont think it's that granular, advertisers just get to exclude parked sites if they want.

I suspect that may be the case, my sedo parking has all but stopped yet my developed adsense domainbs have risen a little.

It would make sense, for that reason I am starting to move all my names from parking and have heard many others are doing the same.
