A new tool from Microsoft aims to take some of the annoyance--and risk--out of mistyping a URL when browsing Web sites. The company's Cybersecurity and Systems Management group released a prototype of Strider URL Tracer with Typo-Patrol version last week. The tool is designed to seek out and block mistyped versions of domain names--www.frod.com instead of www.ford.com, for example. http://news.zdnet.com/2100-1009_22-6060935.html

So Microsoft decides that www.frod.com shall be blocked, because ??? Isn't www.ford.com a mistyped version of www.frod.com ?? They are typo squatting on my domain www.mciorfots.com ! I might try a WIPO on their arse. |

So what if someone starts running a business from frod or any sort of website from a so called perceived 'typo' will they be allowed to appeal? what a load of rubbish. I have one domain that is the correct spelling for how I wish it to be read, yet google persist in correcting the searcher and telling them "do you mean...." no they meant to type my name so clear off google!
