The host shouldn't be making any modifications to your HTML, the host should simply be providing you with the ability to serve your site how you choose to program it.

All on site SEO is down to how you create the site and the geographical location you choose to host it.

If your host is putting noindex and other tags into your site, then move quickly and revert to your backups

Hostgator don't interfer with any of your sites content, nor would / should any hosts (save for any illegal / copyroght activities....)

umm unrestricted access to .htaccess is essential... Some hosts charge you to modify this i think..

SEO friendly hosting depends how you are targeting your traffic, if you are from the UK, then you need to get a UK based host with the server based in the UK.

Thats pretty much the only way a host can improve your SEO, the rest is down to you.

Server uptime does affect your SEO. The more your sites down, the lower down the results you go.

That's true, high uptime figures are essential.

    Thanks for replying everyone.

    I think ahosting.biz services are really seo-friendly.

Hostgator has came up first with this idea which enables multy website owners to create many websites through the same account but using different IPs (C class should be at least different)
