Actually, that's not so bad - I have 2,000+ other domains (non-.co.uk extensions) and they take a lot more managing.

Well any of the above, but I was really talking about from your portfolio sites you have set up.

i have sold names as a result of listing domains in/on sedo and acorndomains.

but none at all from my site.

part of the reason is that all names point to sedo, i keep meaning to repoint all the non-earners to my site (dont have to worry about sedo commision then)

The one offer I've had through my site so far I worked up from an initial bid of £250 to £950 but it went a bit wrong in the end and didn't sell.

Likewise with deconstruction, I need to point non traffic domains to my site, other than that, all other offers have come through sedo due to where the domain is parked. Redirecting will give me the ability to accept lower offers should I wish to.

Other contacts have come through to the domain address and email forwarding.

Ive never found portfolio sites work for us,and instead point them at a web page with banners and a "send email if interested" type message. Yep sold a few that way.

I have sold quite a few from my site. The strategy I use is that I point all my domains at my site then after a second delay it then jumps to the Sedo parking page, that way people can check out my domain listing and/or the Sedo page. If I have a domain that can sell for a high price, I put up a single "This domain is for sale" page and you be amazed how quickly Google indexes it and displays it in the search results for "domains for sale", sometimes in only a matter of days.

Also, become a member on lots of forums (programming, electronics, etc) and have your signature contain a "Domain for sale" link to your site.

I sometimes ask the buyer how they knew the domain was for sale and the response is normally:

(i) Searched for the term "domains for sale" on Google then navigate directly to my site.
(ii) Typed the domain in the browser and contacted me directly.
(iii) Went to my site directly from a forum link (a few from acorndomains).

I have also sold on Sedo itself but generally dislike it because of the fee BTW, I do absolutely no SEO on any of my sites or domains.

As for other people selling domains on their sites, well I know FCdomains sells loads because I myself have bought quite a few from him, thanks Colin.

Yes, lots. Get about one unsolicited enquiry every couple of days, on average.
