I'm not into computer games last one I played was 'Leisure Suit Larry' for those of you old enough to remember it.

Just had a new high spec PC (quad core + ATI 4850) and decided to take a look at a modern game, went out and bought Crysis.

Completely blown away by the graphics, level of detail is absolutely amazing.

Only downside is I get motion sickness after playing for over an hour.

Classic Spectrum games, spent hours adjusting the volume on the cassette player to get them to load without crashing.

Serious Elite addiction on the BBC B.

Though that came some time after a Scamble addiction in the arcade, always pinching my mum's 2p pieces to take down the snooker hall to change into 10p pieces.

Is there Mame for the iPhone yet?

Most def, a great game. Friend bought round his laptop and then found an old retro site for the spectrum games, commando, green beret etc.

All time greatest games for me were the leisure suit larry games, police quest games, alone in the dark series and monkey island series.

    memories.....

Remember buying computer magazines back in the 80's, seem to remember quite a few tended to have pictures of bikini clad babes on the front cover as the computer scene was totally male dominated at the time.

They used to include spectrum games which involved you typing in page after page of Z80 machine code which would take best part of a day only to find when you came to run it that you'd typo'd one of the 20,000 HEX numbers you'd typed in :x

Amazing really what programmers of the time managed to achieve with a 4 mhz cpu and 16KB of RAM.

Think my Spectrum is up the loft at my parents, will have to dig it out next time I'm round there.

Anyone else have the spectrum printer which used paper which looked like kitchen foil.
