I love it, in it's keyword specific field it could be a category killer, carp fishing is a massive sport, and if you were to put a nice store + forum on the domain I think you would make a killing from sales of carp fishing tackle and carp fishing holiday bookings etc, carpers are fanatical and spend a lot on carp stuff.

What plans have you got for it, flipping it on or develop it?

I am a carp fishermen myself hence the purchase of this one.

I am planning on online tackle shop, forum, blog, videos, tutorials the lot.

Whats peoples thoughts on value, I think i grabbed this for a real bargain.

I paid low £x,xxx for the domain.

    Thanks, Darren.

I reckon you had a right result at that price then  You only need to look on the keyword tool for anything carp related and they all have good search volumes, huge industry, if you have the store, blog, forum, videos etc planned for it, I think you'll do very nicely from this, Darren.

Just a few results from the keyword tool, cpc, local and global exacts, nice:

    [carp] £0.51 - 33,100 - 135,000
    [carp fishing tackle] £1.65 - 33,100 - 22,200
    [carp fishing] £0.84 - 110,000 - 135,000
    [carp fishing rods] £1.44 - 22,200 - 14,800
    [carp rods] £0.72 - 33,100 - 22,200
    [carp tackle] £1.32 - 18,100 - 22,200
    [carp bait] £0.41 - 14,800 - 14,800
    [carp fishing reels] £1.71 - 9,900 - 6,600

carp/fishing/tackle dropped recently, that would have been a nice one to have as well.

Holy mackerel its good to see the whois finally changed - I was waiting with baited breath. You can stop carping on about it now! I would have hated it to be the one that got away, but you reeled it in nicely :)

It was certainly a hard one to tackle, but you nailed it hook line and sinker, you could say its the catch of the day. I know its abit shellfish but I wish I had it!

Enough puns I think, or people will think I am mentally eel.

Your a bloody mad man Rob, thanks though for all the help and advice.

Took me a good few months to track this man down, long story and not worth going into.

    Thanks, Darren.

No funny picture with someone stood at the river bank holding a domain name in both hands for the camera?

Losing faith in Rob I'm afraid, not sure what is going on these days :D

Good buy Darren, bargain city at that price.

You need to tackle this one by plumbing its depth. In other words, put it on the scales and see what you've got.

Is it a keeper? or do you toss it back into the pond with your others?

I think it's a great name that needs lots of long nights, patience and skill.

The crucian thing is to get it right first time. Don't mirror any other sites and get a decent hook that will keep them on the boilies every time they visit.

Iron out the fankles before you go live and your visitors will be biteing all day/night long.

    Great name.

get a blog on it asap before you develop it fully, start blogging daily, personally i can think of nothing more boring than a fishing blog :) but will get you indexed and being a fisherman will be no trouble. Then look to make it the definitive resource for all things carp and it will do great!

    Best of luck
