    me and the other half are looking for a smallish 4x4 but are a bit stuck for choice, anyone got on or can recommend one?

    freelander td4
    rav4
    x-trail
    forester
    etc etc the list goes on

    lol mate, you might want to listen to the telephone call of those people on the phone to 911 as they hurtle to a junction at 80 mph with their throttle stuck.

    They didn't make it back to the dealer unfortunately,

    The pedal on the left disconnects the engine from the gearbox?

    Why do you want a 4x4? If you are going to use 4x4 the freelander for a tall one or the forester for an estate car, but I really dont see the point in any of them on the list. Get a proper car or a proper 4x4.

    I like the ford kuga and the nissan qashqai personally.

    i would like a proper 4x4 like a disco but she wont drive it because its to big:mad:
    looking for 06 onwards
    she wants it for when it snows again :rolleyes: and i want it do do some softroading

    yes i would probably go for the qashqai or it's big brother the murano ,or if your not a badge lover kia have some decent 4x4's now

    I've gotta read up on the kia. Their offering 7 year warranty now which is tempting.
