    Hey all

I'm thinking of selling some of my domains and my ISP is asking for £23-00 for any domain I transfer away from them... upon sale or transfer away.

I realise this is common practice with ISP's, but I think the charge is ridiculous.... surely I can change the nominet tags myself and they won't even know?

What experiences do you guys have?.. and where do you keep your domains to make sure you have no 'exit' penalties?

    Thanks!

    Will

You can use the Nominet web based admin tools to change your TAG, however, you need to check the wording of the contract you have with your ISP as you may still be liable for their release fee.

I keep my domains on my company TAG :)

To transfer any domain you have to pay the seller because they mentioned his terms and conditions. So you can not skip from these charges if you are using any tool then might be you are breaking the seller's rule.
