Becky, I wouldn't bother with anything on mx, plus they cost more, have you checked what the following years renewal fees are ? I haven't but some extensions cost even more to renew than the first year.

Look at this way > 3 years at £40 per year= £120, you could buy a nice .org.uk for that ;)

Thanks for the response. I could get the domain for a one year registeration and the renewal fees are the same, however most comments I've read on other sites say they are good to purchase but more for a long term investment. As a result of this, I am asking for opinions as I have only registered co.uk /com domains and one me.uk ( which is probably worthless), so the mx domain is a bit new to me. Do you reacon in the long run itd be worth it??

    Lets say 5 years at £40 = £200
Can you afford to keep it without chucking your money away ?
If you can then go for it on 1 of 'em

Then post so I can see what it is ;)

.me.uks cost less for 10 years than a .mx for 1 year so makes sense to have some .me.uks :p you should know Mr.me.uk ;)

You can never discount anything, look at shoes.tv reported sale at $18000 on GD today, 2 years ago nobody would register tv domains ( although the pricing structure didn't help) . Now info and me have good reported sales.
I registered an info which is now at a £500 bid on sedo, If I had asked for opinions they probably would have come down on the side of caution. Whatever you register try not to keep adding more words than neccessary to your name, the more obscure the suffix the more to stick to the basic rules, short, generic, product or service, memorable, etc. etc.

I have registered several .mx, .br, .ar and other domains for B2B clients. But to be honest never bought or sold any...

I've decided not to register the mx one as although its strong I don't think it'd be of any use to me! I've registered another two me.uks though! i have allinclusive.me.uk, tatoos.me.uk, and saviour.me.uk! I'll see what happens with them! Thanks for everyones comments !
