    Any thoughts on this domain?

22,000 searches, £4+ adwords click price, and a profitable industry.

How much could I expect to get for this?

If those 22,000 are exacts, my opinion would be about 4k+

"justwondering" I think you are mistaken; the 22,000 is Local Exacts set to the UK. Greywing, thanks for your valuation.

On the right side of the GKT you'll see a button marked columns, click it and it will bring up a list, tick 'Estimated Avg. CPC'

Thanks, found it. And I found the 'exact' checkbox too.

Depends what you want to do with it mate, if you want to sell it then best thing is to take offers or put up for auction.

I have latestphones.co.uk and let me tell you some of the affiliates out there for it are crooks. I teamed up with a guy on here (he will tell you the same) and we had a site that was getting 200 uq's a day, went to affliates and they said it was getting 30, one sale in over 10,000 visits.

Not going to say which affliate group it was but when we went hunting for others, they all went back to the same one, the whole structure was bizarre.

So monetizing it is very hard, there are some that earn a good living from it but you have to know the market inside out to make it pay.

I have all but given up with mine.

Not really, realistic is what I have have become over the years. Why spend 4 weeks building a phones site that pays nothing when you can spend the same time on something that does. Phone sites need updating constantly or you can use a feed that someone else benefits from. Either way, better sites such as financials to make money from imo.

I thought GreyWing's comments were constructive. He's just saying it's not easy to make a phone sale, and that happens to be an opinion I share.

    Great Name.

I reckon you could get 2 grand for it as a minimum... Developed who knows.

Comments about the sector being tough in terms of reversed commissions are also true in my experience.

Maybe try with Adsense and selling CPM ads direct to Phone shops will work out better ?.

Good Luck with it whatever you do.

His recommendation was to pursue a different niche. That's not constructive when we're talking about a mobile phone domain.

It's constructive whatever niche we are talking about.

Several people in this thread have stated how difficult the market is for this niche.

There is nothing worse than spending a long time developing a domain only to find that ultimately it is unprofitable or difficult to monetise.

    Advice like that is priceless.
