Just observing the forum tradition of saying hi and listing my best and worst domains:

    The best would be: Phwoah.com
Phwoah is a dictionary listed word; According to the Oxford Dictionary Phwoah is "used when you find something or somebody very impressive and attractive, especially in a sexual way"

On a side note I have Phwoah.com listed for sale at £15,000. (was originally appraised at £18,250)

I also have plenty of pronounceable 5 letter.com domains for sale for between
    £2000 - £4500 Including:

    Huniy.com
    Yumiy.com
    Diziy.com

I don't consider any of my domains bad really but the worst would probably be: DefinitionSite.com - I bought it to set up a dictionary type site but have not got round to it yet lol!!

  3. Welcome, I'd say the complete opposite and say DefinitionSite.com is probably the "best" domain you've listed just my opinion though!

This wouldn't, by any chance, have been an Estibot appraisal?? I think you'd struggle to get people to spell it - I also think that Phwoar is a more common spelling. There's already a dating site at phwoar.com. Phwoar currently receives 2864 more global monthly searches than the 36 Phwoah gets.
If £15k were a realistic valuation, you may have had a tougher job regging it yesterday... ;)

I completely agree with Aaron. I think DefinitionSite.com is by far the 'best' out of the five you listed.

Anyway, welcome to the forum and good luck with your domaining!

    I am honest!!

You are indeed correct that the name phwoah.com was registered recently however I OWNED THE NAME PREVIOUSLY (last year) and mistakenly let it drop. When I realised the name had dropped I immediately re-purchased it before anyone else could.

    Welcome cazino,

I hope you find this forum really helpful. I am also a new member (though I've been on a similar forum for many years) and I've already found this forum incredibly helpful and informative. People can pull your leg a bit, and you'll certainly get a good dose of realism, but there's a lot of knowledge here, and one or two people who have gone pout of their way to help me.

So welcome, and best of luck with all your domains!

    love,
    Susannah

    Maybe...

    But this domain dropped on October 12th, 2010. Here's a link (one of many) to phwoah's drop date;
    http://www.droplistarchive.com/list/2010-10-12/com/p.htm

Does 5 days short of 4 months really show that you "immediately re-purchased it before anyone else could"?

I'm sorry but I think anyone who truly thought they owned a "was originally appraised at £18,250" domain name would be visiting their valuable asset more often than every four months to check that their valuable domain was resolving correctly and still in their possession.

    I could be wrong.

Best wishes and, as I said last time, good luck with your domaining, Richard

My guess is that this is an unwanted side effect of the classic "running 2 accounts on a sales forum" syndrome - you know the one, where you have 2 separate accounts with different names and you are logged in on the wrong account and reply mistakenly thinking it was the other...

Now, I wonder why a new AD member selling domains would need to have 2 accounts...?

Oh right, I've just realised, it allows to reply to your......... :)

    What!!???

Ok, so I guess your one of those people who ALWAYS likes to win a point so well done - i'll let you win.

The truth is exactly what I said previously I DID own the domain, it DID drop and I DID re-purchase it. It did however take me a long time to realise that the name had dropped and do something about it lol!! Im a software engineer by trade and only buy domains in the hope that i'll create a service around them some day. As such, I check my domain accounts extremely infrequently!!

I think its only been about a year now since I started selling some of my domains. My point is that it was a bit harsh to call me dishonest, i'm sure i am, and indeed we all are, at times but in this case you were wrong mate.

So there you have it; the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth lol!!

"You'll let me win?" How old are you, 7?
No. I personally couldn't care whether you had this domain 1, 2, or 15 years, dropped it and picked it up again. I just have an aversion to bullshit...

Fact or bullshit - there is no winning anyway - it's just one or the other.

    Didn't say you didn't.

I didn't call you dishonest. Another poster said "try and be a bit more honest" but that wasn't me. I said "Maybe" in response to your previous post and "I'm sorry but I think anyone who truly thought they owned a "was originally appraised at £18,250" domain name would be visiting their valuable asset more often than every four months" but did back it up by saying "I could be wrong".

So I understand if you feel it's a bit harsh to be called dishonest but who actually called you that??

    The bullshit I previously referred to;
That is just utter bullshit - you immediately re-purchased it before anyone else...after 4 months... the reality is that anyone else could have regged it for a good chunk of the year but nobody wanted it.

That's all I was commenting on; that and your genuine belief the domain is really worth the £15k you were asking for it. Precisely why I said
"I think anyone who truly thought they owned a "was originally appraised at £18,250" domain name would be visiting their valuable asset more often than every four months".

And let's not forget that's 4 months after it expired and became freely available again. You had several months of redemption period before that...

I have nothing further to say in this matter.

    Hello, and goodbye.

Perhaps OTD was a bit brutal, but you have been tripped up twice for dishonesty, and even in admitting your fault you insulted. Now you resort to swearing and we see who you really are.

I don't think this is a great start for you on this forum, so I think you should leave and maybe come back in a while.
