OK who fancys a shared deal, I am cr*p at making sites but really fancy making Bristolboats.co.uk

I could pay someone to make it but can't afford that so I offer someone to make the site for me in return for a 25% revenue share so if it made 4k per year then you would get £1000 per year.

I am thinking it can have classified ads for people selling their boats with categories based on price etc and also a page for info on boat trips etc, boats are quite big business in Bristol, there are lots of them and a few boat trip companies + a few floating resturants, a floating night club, lots of waterside bars and property and chartered fishing trips etc.

We could charge for classifieds eg £20 for an ad with upto 5 photo's and charge for banner space on the home page or companies can buy their own page £150 or something ?

I live in Bristol and will go round to these companies to get them advertising.

I was also considering giving some big companies free advertising in return for placing like a car sticker in the window of their business premises.

Anyone wants to discuss ideas then please PM me.

    Thanks 8)

Nope,I am going to put my time into making calls, visiting businesses, checking newly posted classified ads and approving or denying them, replying to e-mails etc, maybe do reviews on the restuarants etc, taking pics of the businesses for the site etc.

buy yourself an auction theme for about £20-30 with a coupon code

    http://auctionpress.com/

Got some codes if you decide you want to try it out or the guy that runs the themes is really helpful. Think you can also demo it

    Sounds good idea

Get yourself a themeforest.net template and change the text/images etc?

Not sure what type of layout you're after, but Karma looks quite clean and professional

I have a little time on my hands atm so am not professional qualified, but willing to help. However, how would I (or the designer) know how much the website is making per month/year etc? Also, I think 25% is a little low for the designer so would ask for around 30-33% if you were able to barter, which, imo for the designer is fair

Like I say, willing to help depending on what you what. I host with 1and1.co.uk and have never had any problems, re: hosting issues.
