Any predictions for the fight? A heavyweight fight worth watching. Who'd have thought...

Thanks for replying. I'm really not sure how this one is going to pan out. If I was pushed, I think I'd go for a Klitschko win. I'd like to see Haye win though, and maybe take on the other brother before he retires.

For the sake of boxing I hope Haye wins, it has all gone stale in the heavyweight division.

  8. It's been stale for years. I hate Haye with a passion, In my opinion he's bringing heavyweight boxing down...hate him...hate him. Klitschko will win..

At the beginning i wanted Haye to win and while i still like him and know that everything he does or says is just to promote the fight, i can't help but warm to Wladimir, i never knew much about him prior to this except his fighting, but i find him articulate, intelligent, funny and a genuinely decent guy.

i don't know who will win, could go either way imo.

    Shake Champs Hand :D

Haye to win, deffo! Klitschko is a great talker, and fighter, but Haye smacks like a frying pan. Klitschko's tactics are basically to hold back then release, whereas Haye is a burster, unpredictable. My only worry for Haye is past 6 rounds, that's Klitschko's territory, Haye needs to do the business by the 4th, or he's in for a long slog.

Can't understand the Haye arrogance comments, he's just doing what he needs to in order to secure fights and then make sure his fights are high profile. When an american sports star is arrogant it's great but a brit isn't allowed to be arrogant?

I don't really care what Haye says. The gang rape comment against Valuev amused me more than offended me (probably because I've got a very sick sense of humour), but I can see how he winds people up the wrong way. All that matters though is the fight itself.

Read a very interesting interview with Lennox Lewis yday in The Sun saying that Haye musn't use his energy up pushing Klitschko away when the Ukranian holds onto him. Very good point. I just think Haye knows all this and more and is ready to take Klitschko down.

    Haye in six :D

I'm not sure I'd go that far, we're still a long way away from the days of Tyson, Lewis, Tua...

It is the best fight for a while though. Hayes' a fairly clever fighter, he's good at sticking to a plan, I'd say Haye will edge it and take it on points. But who knows!

Well, it went exactly as I worried, Klitschko strung him out, once it past R6, Haye's chances went out the window. :(

Some great link spam lurking in this thread.

Interesting to see the tactics over several years :)

  20. Well you can tell George Forman has had his head between a grill for far to long, his card had it level at round 10...lunacy. I'd say maybe Haye edged round three as he actually landed a punch...Klitschko was all over him, although with the amount of punches Haye landed Frank Bruno could of beaten him last night.

Being a boxer myself it was always going to be difficult to get past the telegraph pole of a jab,it would of taken a Mike Tyson type of fighter to get in close and in your face to win and i am afraid haye did not have it last night, the heavyweight division is the weakest it has been for a long time especially as haye being a natural cruiserweight moving up to this division,in the days of Tyson,Lewis etc he would not of even got a shot in this division it was that strong....

But haye fair to play to him he has made his millions but time to get out unharmed and live a life of luxury but he there is no chance of that...
