Reseller to someone on here I'd say £200 - £500 ish.

If you sit on it and wait for the right end user, you'd be looking at possibly £5k maybe more.

An end user is someone who is going to actually use the domain - perhaps starting a new business or a new brand or advertising campaign or whatever.

    yep agree with bb99
    nice name

@o/p (thats you, original poster :))
reseller is people like us who own lots of domains and websites and are willing to pay a fraction of it's maximum price
endusers on the right day when all the stars are aligned will pay the max price
everyone is just giving a fair estimate or appraisal. or trying to

i really like the domain and would hold for an enduser offer or develop as a brand yourself as so memorable
be a shame to let go for xxx range. definitely worth 4 figures

The beef here is of course that you may have to wait 5 years for someone to come along and offer you that sort of money. Or longer...

It's a strong dictionary name so hold out for offer that reflects that. It's difficult to market this kind of name to end users (as brandable rather than business generic), so a high profile domain auction event (e.g. auction at domain conference), with you stirring up online publicity beforehand, might be the way to go ... possibly.

    Good luck

  12. Is it really a strong dictionary word? I don't agree...How often do you hear the word splat? and it's relation to businesses is pretty limited.

There's a number of Companies with names starting with 'splat', you could target them. Ironically Splat.co.uk Ltd is listed there as a dissolved company too!
