    Hi all,

    Domain: 4s.co.uk

I have the domain name that I hand registered using the Nominet Web Domain Manager back last year.
I had been watching the name for a while, as I am sure a few others might of been, and it dropped one morning when I was on holiday in Spain, I was not on my home PC/laptop, but fortunately I was online and managed to register it using my Nominet account and the Web Domain Manager, it was a worrying minute clicking the Next button to get through the steps and get it registered. :)

I was thinking down the line of a iPhone 4s store?

    Regards,
    J

The only question to answer is whether you would face any intellectual property issues, which I won't give an opinion on in a public forum, but other than that, it would be a good name for an iPhone 4S site IMO.

    Its certainly short… :D

Would people search without adding “iphone” its ok sticking a site up or affiliate etc but it has to list high enough also ?, ultra competitive market, normally its the company themselves and all the big phone companies taking up the top listing on new phones... apple could well be a pain if it did…?

Has a very limited shelf life for iphone by the time it had established enough they’d be on to something else... If you have contacts in the field sound them out... even apple themselves? before you waste any time and money on it?

    Hi guys,
Thanks for the sound advice, im liking it.
I was going to go ahead and get it developed into a web-shoppe kind of thing but like you say, the shelf-life is limited if I focus on the iPhone.

Maybe the name would be good for another revenue stream...
The Four 'S''s ? Whatever the 4S's are lol but I know businesses like jargon ;)

    ... make some up!

Regardless of the iPhone angle, it's a good domain. Short = good.

4r.co.uk has been offered for £225 but didn't have any takers. An offer of £200 was on the table but refused.

There is a company who have the domain fours but then 4s in their logo. Probably worth more to them.
