Spent a bunch of time cutting and pasting the other day thinking I was going to be able to kick off auctions (yeah newb mistake) now I've got a bunch of stuff .co.uk's and .coms sat there doing nothing - seem to remember doing the same thing about 10 years back with 1and1 working a landing page thing which came to nowt, so two part question a:how do I get the auctions kicked off, ie get some bids going, and b: is there someplace better to dispose of my surplus domains.

    Thanks in advance

    A) You can only submit a few premium domains for the Sedo auctions each month or so. Otherwise you have to wait until you receive an offer to start an auction!

    B) Tricky, I'd let them expire

Domainlore is worth a shot if you have co.uk or org.uk domains that are likely to be worth at least £50

It's hard work. Every time you look back at your domains there is something wrong and they are hard to contact. Take one of my names ShoeShops biz it has local searches according to the google keyword tool of 22,000. They have got it showing local searches of 110. That's the keyword tool return of shoeshops without the gap, so showing it as one word. I despair sometimes.

You could always put poster up in your local area like the one for missing cats

Actively contact potential buyers sedo etc are what they are not that great for selling at least to end users.. This time of year you can email etc lots of companies etc under the disguise of a Merry Christmas approach? Better names even use the card with the name on it not as expensive as you’d think with most modern printers you’d be surprised how many companies hang them up? and there curiosity as to who there from and actually seeing it in the flesh etc often gets the better of them ?
