And for all that effort they put into .wales, it will sink like a lead weight. .uk will be subsidising that booger in the years ahead.

    Acorn .wales thread

    quality article

you may find some of the postings useful on the Acorn .wales thread January 2013

    http://www.acorndomains.co.uk/nominet-general-information/111815-wales-please-fill-nominet-consultation.html

Also Nominet has been made aware on several occasions about the way forward if they proceeded with .uk, if V1 .uk failed (which it did), namely that Nominet should consider a wider debate of all the .uk options and have some .uk studies and research done as they did for .wales before presenting V2.
They obviously ignored this advise, I will be looking through the V1 results of the consultation to see if this was mentioned or if it is left out!

    Baroness Rennie Fritchie, DBE

Considering .uk is so important an issue for the UK namespace.

I was always suprised not see CEO and Baroness Rennie Fritchie, DBE (the chair) at the various Nominet .uk Round table meetings V1 & V2.

But when I came across this bit about .wales, I really wonder about priorities of the Nominet Board

Their "understanding" moreover. Way over Fritchie's head, no disrespect intended.

What will be very interesting is to see which Nominet executive/board members are at the AGM, but not at the V2 Roundtable immediately afterwards.

Could I please ask anyone going to both meetings to try and keep an accurate headcount of all Nominet/Nominet-related staff present at each one?

There is only one person we need at these meetings. There is only one person we to need petition with our arguments. Thomas.

If he attends, I will join others alongside members of the government on bended knees and beg him to be kind to us. This is the power that we have afforded him.

I doubt if the most important people in nominet will be present at the meeting, they won't want to look stupid when they can't give sensible answers to genuine questions.

I think it's disgraceful if senior Nominet execs are present at one meeting held 30 minutes before and 50m away from a second meeting where their presence would have real meaning.

Come to think of it, that might be why the venue was changed for the Roundtable...
