Morning all, Rick here - Found this site whilst trying to get a domain appraised for value that I have managed to pick up in a liquidation auction sale. Not had it transferred to me yet so will not announce the name just yet.

Been collecting random domains since Jan 2002 when I was bored at work one day and whilst I don't have many that don't relate to my name or a combo I have been fascinated with trying to find 'good ones' (without too much success).

I do own a 4 letter domain (.com and .co.uk) which was my first purchase along with a 3 letter .co.uk albeit 2 alpha followed by 1 number. That was from the days when apps like "get a shorty" existed, now you seem lucky to get anything under 6 chars!

Main reason for getting a new domain is that someone manage to get my .me.uk domain onto a SPAM list so is hitting my web server and bouncing mails off various IP's around the globe that appear to be coming from me and I am getting fed up of the number of non-deliverable messages for mails I haven't sent. Let's say a certain friend got a firm telling to update their AV software and stop following links in emails that they got sent!!

Anyway enough about me for now other than I have been in IT for over 25 years (Jesus I am old) both Microsoft and Cisco certified and current role is in Service for Network covering over 4000 sites globally.

    Welcome Rick :)

Generally the best names have to be bought (or caught), domainlore.co.uk is a good place to keep an eye, lots of good names go at reseller prices.
