I don't understand this one (haven't googled it, maybe I'm missing the point completely)

Why would I want to ski like a girl?

I know its not politically correct, but its also undeniable that women are shit at basically everything physical (or come to think of it, mental). Feel free to point me to a world record held by a woman for something suitable if you think otherwise. They're not holding records for 100 metre sprints, javelin records, Chess grandmasters or nobel peace prizes are they?

So again, why would I want to ski like someone who's a bit crap really ?

Its like asking Bonus Media for an ethics class, or Tiktack for an alcohol drinking lesson. Or asking Invincible to choose me a shirt.

    Completely and utterly pointless.

Unfortunate verbal incontinence aside, it does seem a strange sale

heard of drivelikeagirl? offering male and female telematics car insurance and doing incredibly well. I'd imagine it's a similar product for "safer" skiers. Probably targeted at older or more conservative types...

some females are kickass skiers. There was a campaign when I was doing a ski season looking for such skiers sponsored by loads of big brands in the mountain sport world with there own competion series.
My guess would be this is something similar or one of those purchases which will remain parked for years before expiring.

Before you make a statement like this again, I would absolutely love to watch you race Mariya Savinova in the 800m:

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/olympics/19229541

In particular, watch the finsh from 1:18. Her time in this race was 1:56:10. I am 39, I wouldn't say I was unfit, but I ran an 800m recently in 3:03. I don't know whether you do much sport, do you? If you don't, after making the above statement I would love to see your 800m time.

According to Wikipedia David Rudisha did it in 1:40.91 (2012) - Which I think is Monkey's point.

I agree with SimonGardner above. Most likely be used for an event or training.

I see you've spectacularly missed the point

You're comparing a female professional athlete to a bloke in his 30's who plays on a laptop for a living.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/800_metres_world_record_progression - there's what 20 blokes who are faster than the fastest female.

This is not a one off... basically anything to do with physical strength or intelligence is absolutely dominated by males.

Which is why I can't see anyone aspiring to 'something like a woman'. Unless its looking decent in a bikini.

There is absolutely no relevance to that, so feel free to go ahead and explain anyway.

No, it's absolutely relevant that someone who proclaims "women are basically shit at everything physical" should answer the question of how much physical activity they undertake. Please answer the question.

    Thanks

Again, you're totally missing the point. I'm saying that in relation to men, women are pretty crap at anything relying on strength/coordination. You're saying some random female pro athlete can beat me in a race... i'm certainly not disputing that. I am saying I can easily name 20 males who could beat her though.

If you think the above isn't correct... by all means tell me a womens name that I can go look up who could beat any man in that field. I suspect you won't be able to answer that :D

Don't worry, I'll make my point in a minute, but I can't until you've answered my question.

What if the KFC was about to close though? No way even a pro-athlete would outperform you in that scenario.

If you had made the point "The top women cannot match the top men in physical activities that rely on muscle strength or stamina", then I would not be disagreeing with you. :D

However, I have to object strongly to the sweeping statement "women are shit at basically everything physical (or come to think of it, mental)". This is a very inaccurrate and sexist statement. If it is the case that you don't do any sport or exercise yourself, then it's also hilarious to me that you make such statements, when the reality would be that e.g. in an 800m race, many women (even just local athletes) would be able to leave you for dust, proving that they're not "shit at basically everything physical". I just don't agree with your sweeping statement.

You're completely taking it out of context though. Look at it with the sentence after it. If you need help with any of the big words, let me know.

I just think that you are being extremely judgmental and dismissive of half of the human population, and questioning your own levels of achievement with regards to physical and mental excellence and thereby your right to voice such judgmental and dismissive opinions.
