hi, not sure if this is the correct place to post this.

does anyone know of any software (windows or linux) that we can use to
    compare our own insurance quotes.

im currantly working with an insurance broker who deals with different companys but wants a system where he can input your details and he can compare quotes and give you the best deal.

i got no where really with all the software i have installed so im going down the route of an insurance comparison website.

i can get the data from the insurance companys but what format should i put it into?

    xml?

when you set up these compare websites, i imagine you just upload all the affiliate feeds, does anyone have any examples of what the feed looks like to i can try and replicate something?

An xml will generally look something like this

    http://www.w3schools.com/rss/

What format do you have the data in at the moment you can probably export it in a format such csv that's easy to upload to a msql database whithout specifically having to make a feed

If all the info is in a spread sheet yes you will be able to save as a csv file and upload it easy to a database for a web application
