    Made a loss since the previous sale, three months ago, not including the fact that the .uk 2LD hadn't been registered back then so that's an additional loss incurred on the registration fee. I wonder if/when it'll be sold on DL for a third time.

    The first seller would have made a profit tho.

    I liked this name and very nearly bought it from franks auction, I could see it easily being used a sub domain deal. While you can't sell sub domains, you can sell a convention platform which includes a "free website/email/hosting space" e.g. comi.con.uk. Not to mention so many companies call somethingCON, like construction companies.

    Someone with the resources and intention, could turn this to THE convention platform.

    "though" :)

    The first seller back in September may have profited. I don't know what the first seller paid to acquire it or how and where they acquired it. If that registrant registered the domain name FCFS after Nominet deleted it then they may have profited, after taking their acquisition expenses into account. It doesn't always follow that: Auction sale price - Nominet wholesale cost = pure and absolute profit for the seller.

    I took a brief interest in the .co.uk when it was auctioned on DL the first time around but I'd lost almost all interest by the second DL auction. The negative aspect is the obvious definition of the word "con".

    In your opinion, but let's see what happens and whether it'll be a third time around on DL or on here. :)

    I saw this listing on the main page and thought it was just for the .uk

    Never saw the uk inc co.uk before.

    Pays to look in detail. The registrant had registered the 2LD since the previous auction and in this auction decided to sell two registered domain names together and not a 3LD with rights to register the matching 2LD, which was what was auctioned first time around.

    Off the top of my head, and acronyms aside, nobody I can think of. I was interested in wild carding *.con.uk to see if it has many typos of *.com.uk (which cannot be registered).

    Congratulations on making 2000 posts.
