Has your traffic flow followed a similar downward path to your earnings?

I wonder if Sedo is accurately recording uniques and clicks. Perhaps not all the bugs were fixed.

    Hi Static

Looking at figures approx 2 months ago - traffic down about 20% and revenue per click down about 20% - added together that's a bit of a drop. Fortunately domain sales are quite buoyant at the moment. But you don't want to survive on sales. Looking at developing some of our better domains -think in this market you need more strings to your bow.

Hi Richard - if you own domains you can park at Sedo.com (and many other parking companies) and earn revenue per click. Takes a while to build a portfolio and many, many people are searching for the best domains. Best to read thro' the forums here - all the info you need is here. All the best.

    Kind regards,

    Nigel

I think there is a problem with Sedo. I have one particular domain that has had over 200 uniques this month but not had a single click (It has got 28 cents worth of click unders though!). Anyway, I checked the stats, and 95% of visitors were from Australia. I parked the domain elsewhere the get a comparison. Low and behold, uniques were considerably lower, yet my uniques tally in sedo continued to rise even though the domain was no longer parked with them.

In terms of payout, I've got a CTR of 6.19% for the past 32 days, and an average of 0.18€ per click. Thats from over 150 domains. Hardly impressive is it? I get more from just 5 sites running adsense.

Have you asked about the rising uniques on a domain no longer parked with them? I'd be interested to hear how they explain that one.

15 uniques on sedo since my post yesterday. Am awaiting a reply from Sedo. Pity I'm not getting any 'free' clicks to go with them !!

    Hi Pendragon,

Can you PM me with the domain name?

What happens sometimes is that the domain name gets cached in search engines. Especially if the domain name is URL forwarded, when people click on yourdomainname.com, they will be taken to a parked page of your domain name, even though you may have parked it elsewhere since.

Again, if you'll give me the exact domain name, I'll be able to look into it further and let you know exactly what is going on.

    Kind regards,
    Brad
