    Domainlore : Duvets.co.uk

Nice to see the sale of good quality domains slowing moving in the right direction again. Back in the day this would have easily reached £10k+

    Congrats to the buyer.

Seems a bit of an extreme price for such a niche name. Bedding sure, but duvets?

I'm not too familiar with the duvet market myself, however, I can only assume the profit margins are well worth the investment... and then some! Sometimes being so niche can be part of the appeal of buying such a name. I'm expecting an SEO related company to have picked this one up!

I've had a few sniffs on my bedding names, incl a failed sale (goosedown) so wonder if its all the same people.

I was thinking anywhere between £2.5k and £5k when i saw the likes of Doug and Sam from Custard getting involved.

I know if i was in the Duvet industry i'd happily pay 5k / 10k in a heartbeat, so imo someone has got a bargain!

    Best,
    Barry

..yeah but don't y'all know EMD's are dead since 2007? I think 'bedding' to old fogey sounding, everyone has and will need a duvet at some point, higher end sale too.

Hello matey. Yep, I've agree that if it was your industry and you had the money available, then it would be worthwhile even if not for decent Google ranking!!!

Happy with the results of people sniffing around my bedding name: no-one would have been too happy with the results of sniffing around my actual bedding itself mind. That's needed changing for months.

Having only started using it a few weeks ago - I think Denys' auction platform rocks somewhat.

    Cheers, Nick.

(Thanks to any and all who bid)

Judging by the whois the buyer is someone who still strongly believes in emd.
