    Hi there,

I think it's OK, but nothing special TBH - 'Ground Coffee' or 'Instant Coffee' more easily springs to mind.

As for value - whatever your end buyer is prepared to pay for it. ;)

    - Good luck selling the name.

Sadly its an american trying to sell to an English market which sadly wont work.

No one searches for good coffee as most people in the UK if they want good coffee then they goto the supermarket and buy nescafe.

Which really is a crap coffee if you do actually have some proper coffee.

The domain would be ok for sales if you was selling coffee or maybe even a shop but its 50/50 on the useage.

You could reasonably try and make a reasonable site out of it to which it would be worth some money but..........

It just depends on if someone reasonably wants to go down this route, otherwise its a no hoper really

As your not a developer then obviously your after sales, and as I say an american trying to sell something to the UK when he hasnt even got a basic grasp of the UK way of life doesnt work being honest.

Its like us trying too sell you a website such as goodhotdogs.com

You already know what kind of hotdogs you like.

Why is it every thread tonight has posts giving your opinion... :)

    English?

.co.uk - Sorry to piss on your chips but that also contains Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland - nowt funnier than the English thinking they own the place :)

    ok...

    - a 'good coffee' search would probably be someone looking for other peoples thoughts on what is good coffee. Searches often have positive or negative terms with the keyword ie. Nescafe crap or Nescafe good .
    - People do search for items online, be is ball bearings , coffee , TV's or porn.
    - Nescafe is not good coffee, it is mass produced rubbish. You can try out the 'negative keyword search' as outlined above by http://www.google.com.au/search?hl=...icial&hs=Lwe&q=nescafe+crap&btnG=Search&meta= :)

So if you want to use the name it could be ok, but if you dont it wont - quite ,er , reasonable :)

How does a person affect the value of a domain name? Would it hold more value if someone from the UK owned the name?!

    Phew... as for the appraisal:

My only problem with the name is that Good is not the best adjective - Great / Best / Top are the pinicle ones. The word 'good' does differentiate between the negative alternative adjectives so it is not 'BadCoffee.co.uk' etc.

Interested end user I would expect in region of £1k however there could be a long time waiting.

    Reseller £25-100.

I think in some respects more people and I will use overture too make 100% sure but I think that more people use best rather than good as a search term

    97858 good

    84325 best

Even though overture suggestions that good is better than best personally I think best might be best.

I've just done a couple of searches on best and a lot of domains are taken, but I've done the same searches on good and theres a few domain names not taken.

At least best sex and good sex are both taken but best does sound like a good domain too get if you can snap one up.

Dont know why but just brought www.bestlaugh.co.uk ok so just brought www.bestarse.co.uk as well and www.bestseaside.co.uk just got a nice one www.bestvibrator.co.uk ok this is becoming compulsive, just brought www.bestorgasm.co.uk as well now www.besterection.co.uk and now www.bestfruitmachine.co.uk ok ok someone stop me please www.bestsong.co.uk www.bestfruitmachines.co.uk now www.besthorse.co.uk www.bestbread.co.uk www.bestgamerental.co.uk www.bestmovierental.co.uk www.bestfrankingmachine.co.uk www.bestjoke.co.uk www.bestmusical.co.uk www.bestdance.co.uk www.bestchippie.co.uk www.bestlager.co.uk www.bestdinner.co.uk www.bestaftershave.co.uk www.bestchildren.co.uk www.bestrecord.co.uk

Right thats enough otherwise I'll be buying all day lol

Thats all well and good Mark but try putting those keywords together. If you are really going to make the assumption that overture will give you 100% assurance on what people are searching for then put the keywords together in an ovt search...

    'good coffee'

30 coffee is good for you
    10 coffee good maker
    7 african coffee good
7 how to make good coffee
6 cappuccino coffee good make maker

    'best coffee'

    128 best coffee maker
    65 best coffee machine
    46 best coffee
    32 best coffee in shop
31 best coffee shop in amsterdam
    24 amsterdam best coffee shop

So in this instance according to ovt 'good' has a higher score than best but put this together with coffee and the keyword phrase 'best coffee' wins...

As for an appraisal on 'goodcoffee.co.uk' I cant see much value in it myself, its a nice enough name but IMO it doesnt sound quite right... its just not emotive enough...

    Rich

    Agree with you RJS

I think more people would type best movie rental than good movie rental all the time.

I should be able to make my money back from some of the domains just purchased especially the fruitmachines and the franking machine one as thats £50 per sign up so couple of sales and will best for itself.

I just wish I had never joined this forum now as its got my habbit of buying domain names back lol

I used to buy all the time with one idea or another, but now its seeing some of the offers being made for stuff, so good to buy and do a fast turnaround if possible.
