    Im an escrow virgin.

Ive sold a name and NetNames are providing the funds and handling the transaction for the end user.

Can someone tell me when its ok to post the completed transfer forms? I guess its when Escrow confirm they have the funds?

    TIA!

I've not used netnames as escrow, but generally the escrow is there as a trusted party by both sides of the transaction.

So they are meant to a) get the money in, b) get both people to sign contracts and c) to get the name in their control.

Sometimes c) = make sure the name is in the other parties control, though they are then gambling a little on the strength of their own contract.

Moniker for .com took the domain into their own name and for .co.uk allowed transfer direct to the end user.

sedo waits for transfer forms to be sent to them and releases money once nominet have changed ownership.

So look at the terms, but generally you are meant to trust the escrow party.

I've done it through sedo external escrow.

Once sedo informed me the money was there I sent off the forms to the new registrant directly. Once the transfer was done sedo transferred the money. I handled all the Nominet paperwork.

Simple for sedo, easier for me. Worked out ok. Doing it again now. Security all round.

Do you mean NetNames have brokered the deal for a customer using Escrow.com for the money transfer?

If that's the case, Escrow.com will let you know when they have the funds & you can then send the docs.
