    Anyone using Webhostingbuzz shared hosting?

Email is being blocked as spam.

    Update for anyone interested:

    Hello,

Please accept our apologies, CBL discovered a new threat and we are not able to delist the main shared IP from its black-list without investigation of this issue.
We are currently working on this issue and will update you once it is solved.

Your understanding and patience are important for us.

Which means someone not updated their script and been been hacked, or someones running spam scripts, to get the IP blacklisted.

Not really shared hosting, I have shared hosting with a dedicated ip, its more a hazard of a shared ip.

    Absolutely 1 bad apple.

I have a dedicated IP - but I think the mail server is shared?

If I upgrade to a dedicated server - do I need technical know how to use it?

You can go for a VPS or dedicated server which is 'managed' for you.

If you want to self manage you'll need a cpanel licence (about £6 a month) which makes things a bit easier - although you'll still need a reasonable amount of knowledge or be prepared to learn quick.

Still having issues? We can change the MTA IP if issues persist.

If you don't need the extra expense though would adding a dedicated ip / ssl to your WHB account help

When looking at "Managed", you need to ensure your definition of managed is the same as the provider, managed can mean anything from OS updates through to full systems management (reviewing log files, updating applications and so on)

I have both a dedicated IP and an SSL. I think the email server uses a separate shared IP... Is this par for the course?

Depends on the account type. Shared/Reseller will generally use the main server IP.

If you can send me the ticket ID (requested via PM) I'll get this escalated.

I'm sorry that things didn't work out with you. Vidahost are good too.

I'm not sure to be honest how many email address do you manage would a third party email provider be any use.

Google / Microsoft both let you host domain emails with them for around £4 per account per month.
If you only need outgoing mail something like mandrill can be usefull as well and is free for something like 10'000 emails a month.

All three let you set up things so your domain is not marked as spam
