WebHosting UK - anyone use?

Does anyone use these guys for dedicated servers?

WebHosting UK

They look good, respond quickly, packages look reasonable, etc, etc and support looks OK.

Any thoughts/feedback welcome.

Thanks!

I just configured "WHUK - E5420" to match what I have now, and is hosted in the same data centre as mine, price diff is about a £500, but they don't tell you much about the support or management options, which is what I pay extra for.

Phew, that's a good server Skinner.

I'm looking at the 'Dual Core Intel Xeon X3065' or next one up for my use.

Company looks established, helpful and supportive, has ticket and forum access, so looking good so far....!

If you have huge amounts of data to put on the server, the company can physcially go into the data centre cage and slam the data directly into the sever via gigabit ethernet saves days uploading

The data centre tech staff on the package I have are alerted withibn 60 seconds off the server going down and someone is at the cage in 120 seconds to repair or replace (depending on sellers redundancy).

Also Dell provide 4 hour (bus hours) replacement and repair too.

So the NOC is spot on, its all down to the seller

What are you planning on using it for ?

Make sure you configure the server with the above site as adding WHM etc costs extra, its not just the price quoted

Thanks Skinner, will do.

Even with the cPanel/WHM monthly cost of £20 it's still cheaper overall by about £70 a month -v- my current provider.

Great, sounds cool!

Using for primarily one main site/forum and a few other minor sites/forums thrown in.

There 30 day money back and 99.95% SLA seems like you can always roll the dice

Well, I have to say my initial experience with these guys is all very good indeed - courteous, quality/speedy help, smashing tech assistance, great server (I recently took out the dedicated server - 'Dual Core Intel Xeon X3085').

Top Notch!
