Any server geniuses?

Hi

not expecting much help, but this forum has been kind so here goes.

Ive had someone try and fix this but no joy.

Using a partitioned vps, with cpanel, so I created a new account like normal, all ok, but when testing a script to nominet I encountered this

EPP Error - Error connecting to ssl://epp.nominet.org.uk on port 700. The
error message was 'Unable to find the socket transport "ssl" - did you
forget to enable it when you configured PHP?'

Having scoured the web, I have ; uncommented the files in php.ini but it still gives the same problem.

Everything I need is installed as you can see from the paste below from whois, open ssl etc

Apache/2.0.63 (Unix) mod_ssl/2.0.63 OpenSSL/0.9.8e-fips-rhel5 mod_auth_passthrough/2.1 mod_bwlimited/1.4

Is there something glaringly obvious to anyone?

Quite happy to pay for anyone who specialises in setting up/managing servers etc

Thanks all
