Hi everone I am certainly not new to the web but as far as domains go I may as well be. I have only registered them for any particular ideas for my intended sites.

Until recently I never thought of them as a commercial entity in themselves.

I will now post any qustions in the appropriate forums .

Happy to follow tradition and post best and worst domain names.

worst hunkytradesmen.co.uk my wifes calender idea for the benefit of female office workers.

Lucky guess ha ha what do you think of the domain corgiregistered.com and what do you think i could do with it ? I was thinking of a feedback site for plumbers

That certainly is a good one.
You could probably put every heating fitter in uk in your directory for free and then ask them for small fee after they start getting work from their entry. Thats how it works. I keep getting calls asking have I lots of work, That's the intro to "Do I want to pay to be on a web site"
I have plumberspages .com but am still learning database type thingy so have not progressed yet.

I am amazed to see today that many of you are earing with domains+ links and no real website at all.
I think your all brilliantly clever.

You people on Acorn have been really helpfull today
and It is much appreciated.

If your thinking of going down the directory route there are a few out of the box solutions... phplinkdirectory.com is used by alot of people.

Not alot of plumbers etc have hit the internet with their businesses, I think they are missing a trick as most people search for services these days on Google.
