Hello and welcome! One thing you get here is free advice. Here's mine ... I looked at your site. A very artistic way of minimising content whilst maximising Adsense, but you have very little original content which will bring people back for another look. The name "chill, com" is a good one, but somewhat dissociated from financial advice. Perhaps you currently have some income from the site. This will not have any bearing on the sale price, because the title is not associated with the content. You have put some good work into the "look" of the site. What I would do - Buy another domain, with finance keywords in the title, transfer the site content to that, with a couple of original articles to keep the users on the site (look around Acorn and you will find keenly priced article suppliers). Redevelop chill, com with leisure-oriented content along the same lines, run it for at least 3 months, preferably 6 months, to get a significant income stream. If you sell that domain now, you will get a price based on the potential use of the name, from someone who can see how to develop it. Put some RELATED traffic into the equation, and you will get a good price for chill, com. Do it my way and you may have another site to sell. Good luck! |

Cheers crabfoot The site that is there at the moment is one of my own "automatic" website generators. Just fill it with a loads of phrases and it "self generates" thousands of pages over time. General Information : Pictures : News, Articles, Blogs, and Resources is one that has been running for over 6 months and is now getting 500-1000 unique visitors per day - so going well. chill.net is only financial based because the ad revenue is high. However, only getting a handful of visitors per day at this stage. Hopefully will build up over time. All traffic is highly focussed here tho. Thanks again. Chris Denman |

A quick experiment came about and I coded up a system that grabs about 8 different sources of information based on a single phrase. This phrase leads to "alternative" relevant phrases and as a spider visits a "page" new pages are generated as links are visited. General Information : Pictures : News, Articles, Blogs, and Resources recently had over a million pages of information until I ran out of server space! I have just cleared the cache. However, the cache is only important for speed issues. Pages are generated on the fly in less than a second in most cases - an milliseconds if cached. Google visits my site thousands of times a day do my server can get quite busy. All good fun. I applied the same principle to chill.net - but this time started the ball rolling with a list of financially related phrases. The spiders follow these links and this in turn generates more links related to the previous phrase. So chill.net has a fair few hundred thousands cached pages as this stage. All experimental and needs fine tuning - but revenue is starting to come. I may end up releasing my software into the wilds, however as it's home grown it's not "user friendly" at this stage. Maybe one day! Chris | |
