95% of domains have no real value. Most good ones are regged by vultures like us at Acorn in the hope that they will have a resale value or development potential. Domainers are killing the internet. I've lost count of how many times I have visited a site via direct type-in, only to find a parked page. It really annoys me to find parked pages, and I've been in this game for a long time. I've also got lots of domains parked, so double standards really

Still shedloads of available hand regges out there worth money. Finding them is the key.
Don't believe the old-schoolers telling you you've missed the boat because you didn't reg porn.com in the 90's

You can easily hand reg a half decent .co.uk for a fiver, and sell it on 2 days later for £50. Not many industries with that kind of margin.

P.S. Don't go for quantity. Quality is best. I used to own many hundreds of .coms, I think I have about 50 now. Kept the good ones and dropped the rubbish.
