Haha, I am quite partial to domains, like I have snapped up a few by having my ear to the ground (typo domains of a soon-to-be very popular site) and some other ones which have proved successful.

However, I feel like the 1st time purchase domain market is relatively dead, unless you buying domains off others, to hope they go up in value, or you have a lucky drop domain? I have no idea though.

I think there are always opportunities in domaining for people that are prepared to do their research carefully and have good judgement for investment opportunities.
