Hi to everyone here  My name is Susannah. I have been interested in domains for about 10 years. I have participated as an elected committee member of the At Large at ICANN, and I contribute from time to time to Nominet consultations. I am hoping to start university this autumn if I can afford it, and I have a place to train as a nurse. You get a bursary of about £6000 but I will have to do weekend work to survive. I'm hoping I can sell some of my domains to help finance my way through uni  Okay, there's a tradition to name your best and worst domains? Well... best uk domain would probably be poetry.co.uk and best .com would probably be bothy.com or thehumanrace.com Worst domain - well I've just not renewed it - was probably: xn--sd-9ca.com which basically resolved as £sd.com but I just got bored with it and dumped it! I am looking forward to being here and hopefully learning things and keeping up with news. x Susannah |

Thanks Philip, I got it because I like writing poetry, but now I'm more determined to qualify as a nurse! I work on critical care as a healthcare assistant, and love it, but I have a place at uni to train as a nurse, but living off a £6000 bursary a year is... impossible! I could be wrong, but I think you once contacted me, a number of years ago, probably on the poems/poetry domain thing.

Welcome Susannah We can read your reluctance to let poetry.co.uk go but, I would imagine it's going to be your banker when times are hard - just don't make the mistake of getting into the "have-to-sell" time. Far better to do what has to be done earlier than later. It would be interesting if you put it up for appraisal here at Acorn - I'm sure there will be a good range of opinions offered
