Hello all! A quick introduction...

Hello all!

My name is Chris and I am (very) new to the idea of domaining.

I have been looking through Acorn for a while now, reading plenty of amazingly helpful articles and I just hope I am able to feedback and add to the community in future.

By day I am a full-time front-end web developer and in my spare time I am a freelance website designer.

I currently have the following domains:

seemly.co.uk
(This is my personal website design portfolio and blog).

The following 2 domains are my first since starting to read acorn.
snowsocks.org
filmgenres.co.uk

I am very much looking forward to making a few friends here on Acorn.

@TheAngryDog - Many thanks for your kind words! I hope I do well with my domains too.

@mally - I have only 2 freelance projects to display at the moment, those being:

www.cscsplumbingandheating.com
Along with the website, I also designed the logo for this company. The logo was my first commercial logo design, so I was particularly pleased with how it turned out.

www.rdswindowcleaning.co.uk
This was my first commercial freelance project and was done some 2 years ago before I was in the web design industry (I was a sheetmetal worker at the time). I also made the flash banner, which again, I was pleased how it turned out.

I don't overly market myself to do freelance work as I am more keen to create my own sites and concentrate on learning other related fields (PHP, Jquery, etc), but if anyone needs any logo, banner or website designs, I'm all ears.

Welcome Chris. I'm sure you'll enjoy your time here. It's good to have some more design talent around these parts.

Thanks for the warm welcome Newguy!
Not too many design folk round these parts then?

I would be more than happy to help out anyone looking for some design work, whether that be logo, banner or website design. Prices negotiable of course.

Welcome to the forum

Ashton, good to meet someone in a similar field to me.
What with you being at the other end of the domain name owning spectrum, maybe you could give me a few tips as to what situations to avoid and how I can make the most of my time?

I see you are from the south coast... I live near Portsmouth, you live anywhere nearby?
