Domain Sprog

Hi All, been reading the forum for some time but keeping behind the curtains. Picked up a lot of advice without being a thread poster, and thought i would take the opportunity to say thank you, I do know many of you already. Edwin, Ty, WB, Ashton, Fagend to name a few. Also read the book Get Out While You Can – Escape The Rat Race.

I started domaining two years ago, with a background of 20 years in sales i stumbled across domain names when i set up my first business.

Now i have over 50 domains, my best is either selfcateringfrance.co.uk or safetytrainingcourses.co.uk and my worst is oneacre.co.uk (Don't ask). Have decided to sell about 25 domains and from what i can see domainlore seems to be a good option. (Any advice appreciated here). Will be selling eroticphoto.co.uk as a test.

Next step is developing the other domains and work out what i am supposed to do to maximize potential returns.

Long term I buy names and flip them to endusers, so far so good.

What do i want from the forum? Knowledge spent 20 years selling B2B and B2C so this has given me the ability to flip for the quick money but i am looking for a pension plan. I need to learn more about affiliations and development, paying others hurts the margins and often those margins are very small.

Now that I am out….i will be asking more questions instead of banging my head searching through the forum for possible answers.

So to those of you who have helped me get this far, thank you. To those of you who will no doubt help me in the future, again thank you in advance

Great intro

This place has a lot to offer and it would seem that you already have a lot of relevant experience so you will have plenty to offer to newbies.

Welcome and enjoy.

Regards

Aiden

Yes a very nice intro there whibs and a warm welcome.

Reads that your background should give you some advantages in the negotiating area. Its aways nice to have some paticular skill set or niche that you can apply through experience to domains.

If your new to selling.I would take the time to selectively identify any domain that you want to sell through domainlore - It's a good site to achieve a quick sale but, you are talking developers prices in the main.

Why not float one or two of your domains in the appraisal section first
