| Junior Member | Hi all, Just want to follow tradition and introduce myself....I am new to domain buying and selling and as I was referred to this forum from DNjournal.com I know it has to be saying something.....I am happy to be here Two questions....I read somewhere before that you had to be resident in the UK to register .co.uk domains. 1. Is this so? I went to the Nominet website but cannot find whether this is so or not. 2. As a newbie am I better off registering some generic terms domains and selling them after the holding period or should I buy a few with traffic and park them, earn some revenue and sell after the wait period? I don't have a lot of money but I have a few pieces of software which give me a fair reading of traffic stats for terms like their OVT, type-in traffic, availability of similar extensions etc.. Thanks in advance.. |

![]() | Where in teh caribbean are you? I used to live in TnT You don't need to be a UK resident to register a .uk domain as far as I'm aware... There is no wait period for selling/transferring a .uk domain unlike .com/net/org. Most good generics are gone, and so you are better off looking for some traffic names. |

| Junior Member | Thanks for the welcome and advice...I will heed it.... Hey I want to earn some money to continue living here (Barbados) too..... As a native ...not like Brian Lara,Michael Atherton, Oprah Winfrey,Sir Cliff Richards and these megabucks gurus who have homes here...... To be honest I think they are paying too much for the real estate anyway... |
