Joomla

If you have sites created using Joomla, can you post a link or two so I can see what is possible?

Im starting to play around with it and I want to see what I can hope to acheive with it.

Thanks

Take a look at the Joomla forum, there's a site showcase http://forum.joomla.org/index.php?board=58.0 which might give a few ideas

http://aboutdorset.co.uk - Pretty standard stuff really, development has stalled a little on this one.

Check the links in my sig mate... Vistasidebar, HerbalDetox and Dialup are all created in Joomla - VSB is the largest of the sites - although still not that large... HD is still in development and dialup is a quick mini site I set up using Joomla!

I have a few other projects on the go using Joomla too... have been using it for a couple of years now.

Its extremely diverse and there are hundreds of addons. Support on the forum is normally very good becasue it is so widely used.

I find Joomla bloody confusing, anyone recommend any admin skins that make it a less "busy" in terms on navigation?

Joomla is confusing, there's no real option other than spending a bit of time getting to grips with it. Once you've got the hang of it, you'll find that most of the admin screens are in fact quite logical.

Seach the Joomla forum for Anna's Joomla Tips, this is a very good intro and overview, then just work at it and all should fall into place.

I ended up installing Mambo last night as I think that is less cluttered and since spending a few hours playing I'm quite liking it actually, never really used it before but I think it's gonna be my first choice CMS from now on, apart from WP.

Would advise against using Mambo - Its the old Joomla! - The team behind Mambo split and the core developers created Joomla!. Some of the team stayed behind to continue with Mambo. Joomla! is heavily supported and has a huge following by developers. Mambo is very much on its last legs... and on the way out. Its extension library is extremely limited in comparison.
