Script Joomla errors in Internet Explorer

I have been getting errors on my Joomla sites.

Everything is fine in Firefox but Internet Explorer doesn't show edit pop up boxes and gives errors on loading.

I tracked the issue down to how Fantastico installs Joomla.

In the configuration.php in your Joomla root:
$mosConfig_live_site = 'http://www.acorndomains.co.uk';

Make sure it has the "www" part, Fantastico sets it to 'http://acorndomains.co.uk' and that was the problem.

I hope this helps someone.

I have found with some of my Joomla installs that, including the 'www' causes issues with JS's in the admin backend...

Either way I would suggest setting a rewrite rule to whichever address anyone decides on for SEO purposes, and then sticking to it. I made the mistake of not doing this early on with one install and the SE's dont take to kindly to duplicate content on different addresses
