Yes mate just started to but initially it doesn't seem to be doing much good on my bare bones site.

It works a treat in conjunction with a few other components but not with joomla on it's own.

Got one site barnsley news, and I put a link from here to the sitemap and then the sitemap started to come first on all the searches for my site, very bizarre.

Might just be more time

One of the links to the section menu was barnsleynews.co.uk/general-news/

it had no .html suffix at the end so I added a section.html suffix to see of that's done anygood.

Do you find sh404sef does much good with joomla on it's own?

It all looks to be set up ok to me.

Getting Joomla sites to be indexed appears to be a fine art to be honest. I have some pages indexed whereas others, set up exactly the same, are no-where to be found.

Of all the SEO packages though, 404 is certainly the easiest to use.

The problem Im having is getting indexed for isle of wight, I just cant work out how to do it.

Cheers Mate, probably just a bit of time needed then. I'll takes my hands off it for a week or 2 and see how things go.

I'll drop you a link for Isle of wight on my hub site, see if we can't make a bit of movement on it.

Agreed sh404sef seems to be very good, it's done a cracking job when intergrated with jreviews.

Cheers

Can you send me a link to where you are using Jreviews, I really should implement this.

Thanks for the link to iow.co.uk, I could do with the help.

I found the problem mate about why it didn't look like they were indexing.

It had the 301 redirect on and www.barnsleynews.co.uk/section was indexing as barnsleynews.co.uk/section (without the www).

I was forgot to clear the cache in my browser.

I'm using it on latestphones@@co@@uk
