Google Farmer/ Panda update ends minisites?

Does the Google Farmer/ Panda update mean the end of minisites?

The update appears to penalise 'low value' sites.

Yes lots have sites have been hit. Don't know about minisites specifically - thats why I'm asking the qustion, really.

Currently its only US traffic, but its only a matter of time before Google roll it out worldwide.

It's not really targeting mini sites. It's targeting those sites that have hundreds/thousands of auto generated or very weak content pages.

Basicly, if your sites crap, it will get dropped.

Quite fair really!

It's not as simple as that, check out all these sites that have been hit: http://www.google.com/support/forum/...df82fd8e&hl=en

Obviously there will be plenty of people there who wrongly assume they've been affected, but it's pretty clear that an automated algorithm change on such a big scale isn't perfect.

If you go down the posts and check out seo 101 he seems to cut through the
noise about the posts there

I think its very dangerous to start calling sites mini sites bad etc etc as a site is a site and if it has been created correctly with on page seo as it should be
it doers not matter how many pages it has , the quality of the content =
quality of the links , yes you can pick holes in this

but it is possible to have a site ranking page 1 pos 1 with not a lot of great content dependent on the competition i have a few

there are lots of so called mini sites making money you can take it to a extreme there is a guy who has i think 10,000 websites yes 10,000
and he makes his money on some of them or i even think he said most of them with adsense did you just hear that $10,000 a day ok has a staff of 85 mostly outsourced and the guy is British Great mark vurnum Google it

i wish instead of getting bogged down with mini site quality Google slaps etc etc open your eyes there is so much out there .

i know it sounds crazy but if i could have $27 per day then 27 x 3500 = 94,500 per day = 661,500 per week x 52 = 34,398,000

not bad hey ok so lets say you all think i am pi**ed hoW much is my judgement out , lets say i am 90% wrong 3,439,000 is still nice

Night Night

I Love Domains and the opportunities the present us,limited only be our imagination

by the ways its not the money that excites me , it making it happen
and seeing it work that's the pleasure

Mini sites can at times offer much greater value to visitors than medium to large sites.

For example, if I am looking for a TV Bed, I would much rather visit a site just about TV beds than a site all about beds or bedroom furniture. I would expect such a site to serve my needs best as it is concentrated exactly on what I am looking for.

What exactly defines a mini-site anyway? How many pages?
