Type in traffic stats

I often wonder if some of the traffic on some of my domains is type in, as opposed to coming from Google, i.e. peeps typing in the .co.uk of a .com they wanted or perhaps the domain is a good typo. If I knew this was the case for a domain I may optimise my keywords differently to improve the CTR.

I would like to see a column that reports hits that were not derived from the Google parking engine and wonder if anyone else thinks this is a good idea... before I petition Ed.

Anyone?

It would be nice, it would at least help me wonder whether it better to use URL forwarding or simply the leave on NDs nameservers. I struggle to understand why Google indexes some of my parked sites but not others. I have a view that the higher traffic ones get picked up by users with Google's toolbar and get reported back and indexed via that route - but that is purley speculation on my part.

But in reply to your thread - Yes Please

surley its not that difficult for a parking company to enable us to add a piece of code, ie. google analytics, or other stats tracking code?

and if google isnt indexing your parked page then i see no reason why you cant URL forward instead of NameServers, and use your own AWstats / Webalizer ?

Hi guys,

We're working on something on this. Our own front office is in the process of a massive makeover and will include lots of pretty stats as I appreciate that this is vital to being able to fully judge what to do with domains.
