![]() | Namedrive keywords...
Quick question: is there any way to stop the keywords you've entered for each domain name appearing on the parked page (ie where it says "Sponsored Links for xxx yyy zzz" at the top)?? Thanks

agreed, I'd like the option to use them but have them NOT displayed. I think it detracts from the style. Stephen |

So you can't do it at the moment then? That would explain why I can't find the relevant button/settings Hmm - Ed - over to you!!

Sorry for my silence on this issue. GoogleRools stipulate that parked pages have to have 'sponsored links for ....' on there so that people aren't misled into thinking that they are clicking on non-advertising links. I can't say that this will never go, but we currently won't be able to get rid of it. Sorry.. Ed

any way to make it 'less obtrusive' than being a heading below the banner?

My concern is that it gives away the keywords... Ed, would it be possible to say "Sponsored Links for domainname.com" instead of the actual keywords? Or is the Google policy very explicit?

Right then. I've chatted with everyone inside and outside ND that this pertains to and the rules state that we must say that the links on the page are 'sponsored links', as every parked page must. However, I've just seen yet another version of a Sedo parked page that has absolutely no reference to Sponsored Links whatsoever. We're pretty certain that this wouldn't wash with Google and, as we're not really at a stage of our relationship where we can yank their chain, we're not going to push them. In fact, isn't it Internet law that links that are adverts have to say that they are sponsored links? At any rate, we are willing to look into changing this for you guys. I can understand concerns that showing the keywords selected could in a very small number of cases lead to DRS concerns. I'm beginning to hate those three letters... We'll hopefully have a solution by the end of the week. Most probably just having 'sponsred links' or 'sponsored links for domain.xyz' Ed

I personally prefer the keyword used there than the domain. I use it to know which keyword is in use...if for some reason adverts don't show for a particular keyword (Sometimes they do, then people stop advertising using the keyword so you need to change it). I find it useful to judging which keyword serve which adverts. |
