me.uk domains

Could someone tell me the use of me.uk domains?

I presume that co.uk equals .com, and org.uk equals .org, but does me.uk equal either .net or .info, or is it something different again? It sounds as if it could be for personal domains of some form or other.

Created with individuals in mind, .me.uk is great for those who want to create a more personal domain name.

If your trying to buy and sell domains I would keep away from .ME.UK
Ive got a couple of 2 char .ME.UK domains that have had zero offers. ORG.UK is much the same but very good if your building a real live site (read the �1 a week thread for ideas)

.ME.UK as said above is for persoanl websites, you cannot (in theory) use it for commercial purposes. I think Sedo don't allow you to list them in their system for example.

I wouldn't bother with them....people wont buy them on this basis.

Sedo accept me.uk and interestingly they also allow ltd.uk

do not write .me.uk off.

They might be crap for company image etc but they have there place in the food chain.

I can tell you some very savvy domainers own quite a few, and are still regging them recently...

me.uk domains totally serves personal use purposes. for e.g you could have contact.me or mail.me or something like that. Its apparently expected to created buzz with these premium domain names. however they are only going to be available through auction. So get ready to pay a fortune if you are thinking of buying one.

I certainly won't be messing around with the .me landrush and auctions if it's anything like the .asia debacle. I have a few two-letter me.uk, but .me is a definite passfor.me
