From a quick search on Google I understand that a lot of people do not value estibot valuations on domain names. However, I did a quick test with domains that have recently sold at Sedo and the valuations were very close to the actual sold prices. But, is this because estibot incorporates sold domain data in its valuation? domain name -- sedo sold price -- estibot valuation BangIt.com --- $6,250 --- $5,000 EnterpriseHoldings.com --- $3,500 --- $3,300 WomensWatches.net --- $500 --- $650 SellMyWebsite.com --- $1,750 --- $1,400 Some were way off though such as Tanky.com which sold for 3,500 but valued by estibot at 790. Is estibot therefore a good tool to use to calculate a minimum acceptable price for a domain? |

to be honest I'm always skeptical of automated services, but it does give some good info. I know several domainers that use it a lot, I also see it quoted a lot in domainers sales. as for valuation i have no idea, maybe you need to do more research, try estimating domains that are live at sedo but have not sold to eliminate the history issue. i use it for figures, backlinks etc |
