Are .me domains worth regestiring

Hi

I would just like to know if .me domains are worth registering ?

I have searched on google a bit about them and not really sure what the overall take is on them as there are so many different comments.

I have bought a few as you can probably see in the domain apprasils section.

One reason I also ask this question is that nobody ever seem to give a domain apprasial on the .me domains I have listed, but have done on all my other extensions.

Im not sure if this is because they are all worthless or because they are hard to estimate a price at the momment.

Any advice on the .me domains or thoughts would be really helpful and much appreciated.

Thanks Kindly

Gav

Anything else seems not bothering with.

Hope this helps

That probably explains why no one has really given any I have bought a apprasial.

I have a few might do some minisites anyway.

Is there any of these you would not even bother with minisites. They are all parked at whypark at the minute.

hotelreview.me
hotelreviews.me
postcodes.me
datedirect.me
hottalk.me

Thanks doodlebug I really appreciate your comments and advice

Regards

TBH, as long as it doesn't cost you to much money or time, anything is worth giving a shot as a mini site, you'll little or nothing parking.

Not sure how well .me domains will rank ?

I think Postcodes,me as some potential, a site where you type in your address and it gives you your postcode.

You could reg zipcodes,me aswell for America if available ?

Good luck Gav.

Great idea.

Unforunateley zipcodes,me as gone. Mut be honest I think I got quite lucky that I got postcodes.me as most good words or phrases are long gone.

I actully have a database of the every single single street in the uk.It took 3 months to collect all the data. But it was worth it.

The only problem it only has the village/town and street name, but only the first 4 digits of the postcode.

Maybe there is a datbase that can be used by the general public that could be added onto my site. Although Royal mail charge a fortune to use theres which is why I collected all this other data before.

Thanks doodlebug your suggesstions have given me something to go away and work with.

Thanks again

Gav

You can buy a CD from 192,com for £350 that has postcodes, telephone numbers, maps, electoral roll and company director info. Memory says the data is encrypted and you need to use the supplied search software to access the database - but the CD might make life easier.

.ME is among a few extensions that have survived the credit crunch. There have been quite a few auctions for .me recently and it has done well. Having said that, usually verbs or nouns that fit the extension are more popular for example, insure.me, date.me, appoint.me or hire.me or like banker.me, independent.me etc. Unfortunately your names do not fit the extension and therefore they are worth what you paid to register them. Their values may increase depending on the overall popularity of .me in the future. Wish you good luck with your names.

If you are not sure what to do with these domains, better not to register..
