Registration request being processed

A friend of mine registered a domain last Friday via 123-reg.

They took his money, however the domain hasn't appeared in his account.

Doing a whois at Nominet shows it is regged in his name, via 123 with correct dates but with a Registration Status of "Registration request being processed"

Is this a problem with 123 or with Nominet? He's followed up with 123 support but not had a response yet.

Right there, thats the problem, 123-reg.

RUN!!!!!!

Most names say reg being processed for a month or so until the bill is paid by the registrar

I had one the same on 123-reg, sent a support ticket and it was sorted pretty quickly and showed the domain in my account.

Seeing "Registration request being processed" is normal, that stays there for quite a while, it still shows that for some of my domains registered a while ago, it's the same with other domains I have come across when doing domain searches where they have recently been renewed.

Yeah, as Systreg says this is completely normal and nothing to worry about it will change to "Registered until renewal date." after a while, my guess is Nominet checks the new regs.
